Since its establishment in 1977 under the guidance of Mrs.Krishnapilly the Western Band of Methodist Central College has been synonymous with musical excellence. Senior Band and Junior Band:
The Western Band comprises two sections: the Senior Band and the Junior Band. Sidetrump
Clazer

Instruments in the Junior Band:
The Junior Band, which commenced on July 3rd, 2023 welcomes aspiring young musicians who are eager to explore the world of music. Instruments available in the Junior Band include:

-Trumpet: 11
- Sidetrump: 10
- Basstrump: 3
- Clazer: 5

These instruments provide an exciting opportunity for students to learn and develop their musical abilities under the guidance of our esteemed coach, Mr.I.Rukshan
